I am running out of ideas here and its really frustrating. I've tried switching it from recording per application (DX12, ect) to just record active screen. Tried in compatibility mode for windows 8 - no dice! it doesn't work whether its on my main drive or my main storage drive. Switching Hard drives for the output file. Here is some other things i've tried to fix. AVI and MP4, i've also tried messing with the bitrate and quality. I am using the Intel Quicksync format but i also tried. or it could be a few minutes in of the actual recording. it could be when i hit the record button. My problem is that it causes my games to crash or the recorder to crash. I found that it crashed less frequently if I did a recording- stopped, and then closed Action and then reopened it again.Just bought Mirillis Action! (Using whatever is the newest version is today). ALSO, it should be noted that if you start and STOP it seems more likely to crash as well assuming that you have not turned Action off. So if you record something for 30 minutes, then stop, and then recording, it seems less likely to crash than if you recorded for an hour. It's also worth noting, that the crashes seem more likely to happen the longer the recording is.

I have heard that turning detect framerate stops the issue from occurring, but at the time of failure, it was on.Īlso, if it means anything, windows STILL prompts me to update Action! Even after already reinstalling it and such, which leads me to believe that it might not be fully updating at least to the point that windows itself can recognize the update. But as of now, I'm not sure why this happens. That seemed to cause this to crash more often. This program is already unstable enough as is, so it usually never worked if I didn't have it in windowed mode. I was actually recording something with epsxe. I have definitely had this quite a few times as of late. One called "working" is with the older "3412" version Intel driver and never causes an Action crash at the end of recording.

I have attached a zip file with two different dxdiags. I have this problem with MP4/Quicksync recordings, but only with the newer Intel drivers.
